Welcome to The Vagina Dialogues!

It’s time! It’s just plain time to allow the conversation to open up for all of us. The conversation about our vaginas has been held captive by embarrassment, lack of knowledge, poor self-esteem, extreme vulnerability, religious beliefs, social no-nos, and historical fashion cover-ups.

We begin by honoring Eve Ensler, author of The Vagina Monologues, who had the outrage and courage to expose the personal truths that so many women carry quietly. Our blog is intended to support these truths, to expand the personal monologues to intrapersonal dialogues, and to create a space for Every Woman, “Ev’yFemma,” to speak her mind.

Who is Ev’yFemma, you ask? She is the spokesperson for the COMMANDOS patch, the disposable COTTON patch that sticks in jeans and pants for women who choose to ‘go commando’, without underwear. This little patch is so simple, but it has opened more conversations between women about our vaginas, our health issues, our sexuality, our feelings, and our relationships. Women need and want to know more about their vagina.

And yes, we’ve chosen to stick with ‘vagina’ and not one of the many nicknames that many of us assign to her. We feel this honors and respects our core. Although “vagina” may not be the cutest or the most flattering according to how we have all been programmed, it is time to acknowledge that it is our vagina that truly embodies our womanhood and empowers our true self.

How we treat our vagina, how we present her to ourselves and to others, especially the partners in our lives, is exactly how we then feel about ourselves. So, let’s start this conversation with an openess and a willingness to recreate the dialogues of shared knowledge, healthy sexuality, and personal acceptance of who we truly are as women.

Let’s talk!
Jo, on behalf of Ev’y Femma

As a fitness instructor, having visible panty lines is a no no with my exercise tights.
The Commando is THE answer to this problem!
I am comfortable, covered and feel wonderful when I "go commando" with my classes!
Thanks Jo & BK for your product!

WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!! I'm a young 32, Very active with my own company and I like to enjoy my life. Even my female friends spend little time talking about real issues that we as women shouldn't feel ashamed to bring up among each other. I would love to see all females find a way to "talk" without bringing out the "claws". Hope you feel the same. Bye-
